Mechanism of Action: 1. GLP-1 Receptor Agonist semaglutide acts in the same way as GLP-1 (a hormone produced in the gut) by increasing the amount of insulin that the pancreas releases in response to food, helping with the control of blood glucose levels. 2. Semaglutide is a GLP-1 analogue with 94% sequence homology to human GLP-1.
