PLAINSBORO, N.J. – In a move that signals a major shift in the telehealth weight-loss landscape, Novo Nordisk (NVO) and Hims & Hers Health, Inc. (HIMS) announced a definitive agreement today to provide direct access to FDA-approved Ozempic® and Wegovy®, including the newly launched Wegovy® pill on the Hims & Hers platform.
The partnership effectively ends a high-stakes legal battle between the pharmaceutical giant and the telehealth leader. As part of the settlement, Novo Nordisk has agreed to dismiss its patent infringement lawsuit against Hims & Hers, which was filed last month following Hims’ attempt to launch a compounded version of the oral weight-loss medication.
A New Chapter for Telehealth Access
Under the terms of the agreement, which takes effect later this month, Hims & Hers will pivot its weight-loss business model away from unapproved compounded GLP-1s. Instead, the platform will offer the full suite of branded Novo Nordisk semaglutide products at self-pay prices consistent with other major telehealth providers.
The rollout includes:
- Ozempic® Injection: 0.5 mg, 1 mg, and 2 mg doses for Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular risk reduction.
- Wegovy® Injection: All standard doses ranging from 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg.
- Wegovy® Pill: The first-of-its-kind oral GLP-1, available in 1.5 mg, 4 mg, 9 mg, and 25 mg tablets.
This agreement is a meaningful win for patients,
By expanding access through leading digital care platforms, we are helping to connect more people with FDA-approved medicines that have been rigorously evaluated for safety and efficacy.

The “Wegovy Pill” Advantage: Results from OASIS 4
A central pillar of this deal is the inclusion of the Wegovy® pill, which received FDA approval in late 2025. Data from the OASIS 4 phase 3 trial underscored the pill’s efficacy, positioning it as a potent alternative to weekly injections.

Moving Away from Compounding
The deal marks a significant “about-face” for Hims & Hers. The company will immediately cease advertising compounded GLP-1 offerings and has established a clinical pathway for existing patients to transition to the FDA-approved branded alternatives.
While the lawsuit has been dismissed, Novo Nordisk noted it reserves the right to refile in the future, maintaining a “trust but verify” stance on the telehealth company’s commitment to branded-only distribution.
For Hims & Hers, the partnership grants them a stable, legitimate supply of the world’s most in-demand medications, resolving the regulatory uncertainty that has pressured their stock in recent months.
